This processor is the latest product from AMD’s family of technologies called AMD Fusion. AMD made ??the official announcement of the date of January 4, 2011 the newly ago at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011 Las Vegas. AMD Fusion family that has been and will be available in the market is
Processor AMD C-50, for example, seems to be an alternative paired AMD Intel Atom. Intel Atom N550, for example, has a maximum power consumption (Thermal Design Power – TDP) 8.5W. So at least AMD C50 was nearing its electricity consumption with the Intel Atom iming iming higher graphics capabilities.
The advantages of AMD’s Fusion technology
- Unify into a single processor and graphics chip. AMD named it is no longer a CPU (Central Processing Unit), or GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) but an APU (Accelerated Processing Unit)
- Electricity consumption is quite low (only 9W). It is no secret that AMD is typically fast but less efficient power than Intel. This new technology brings increased AMD mentioned in this regard.
- High Definition graphics capabilities. AMD calls it as HD 2.0. Now HD movies were scattered everywhere, including from the web and from the Blu-ray. This makes them an Intel Atom processor work hard when playing. AMD claims that they are better in terms of capabilities of this HD.
