Acer Aspire S3, more thin than tablet
Acer has just launched a super-thin notebook, named Acer Aspire S3 in Taiwan. It seems that Acer still believe if the notebook can still be relied upon to compete with the tablet.
Super thin notebook or commonly called Ultrabook is indeed a lot of consumers attention lately. Acer decided to immediately launch a new ultrabook, although the price given is quite expensive and intended for high-end class.
Acer Aspire S3 is thinner than usual super thin laptop, even ultrabook is thinner than tablets. It seems that Acer is trying tocompete with excellence tablets in terms of portability, by presenting a computer device that is very thin.
Acer Aspire S3 specification has 13.3-inch screen and runs on Intel Core i5-2467M ULV (ultra low-voltage) central processing unit. The storage space provided by the hard disk drive (320 GB HDD) or solid state drive (240 GB SSD).
Aspire S3 uses 13.3-inch screen with 1.366 x 768pixels resolution. 4GB of RAM are also included in order to improve the performance of the processor to 2.3 GHz. Some common specifications, includes Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, HDMI (for streaming to your HDTV ormonitor), 802.11b/g/n WiFi, two USB 2.0 ports, card rider, and 1.3 megapixel webcam is added to complement the Aspire S3.
It seems Acer Aspire S3 from Acer is already ‘all in one’, although the price is clearly much more expensive than ordinary thin laptops. When launched in Taiwan, Acer Aspire S3 price worth USD1, 149.
